Descriptif du cours : This course aims at exploring other regimes of copyright (mainly US copyright law) and compare them to French system of "droit d'auteur" and to EU copyright law. After a general introduction on the different regimes ("droit d'auteur" in France, "copyright" in the US and the UK, "Urheberrecht" in Germany), 5 speciﬁc topics will be selected and studied on the basis of court decisions illustrating key differences or similarities between US copyright and EU or French regimes. The topics used for comparison will be : the notion of work and originality, the duration, the economic rights, the moral right, copyright exceptions. COMPLIANCE, GOVERNANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT : A NEW DAWN FOR FINANCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL COMPANIES

Pedagogical format : Seminar Course validation : The students will be evaluated on (i) their involvement and oral participation in each workshop and (ii) on their contribution to the compliance program designed as part of the course. Course Description : This course aims at giving the students an overview of compliance best pratices and providing them with the necessary tools to build a robust and efﬁcient compliance program (as notably required by the recently adopted Sapin II bill, the FCPA and the UKBA). This course provides an in-depth overview of the major compliance risks that French and international companies are facing (corruption, money laundering and terrorist ﬁnancing, international sanctions and export control violations) and gives the students the necessary tools and methodology to assess those risks and address them in an efﬁcient way. As part of this course, students will learn how to design a compliance program and to draft one of its components. To provide some practical insight, two of the seminars will be co-hosted with the head of compliance of a major public ﬁnancial institution of the CEOs of two startups (Fintech) providing software solutions to face growing compliance risks.
