The action on the transformations of urban areas and regions requires in-depth intellectual investment to analyze the economic changes, the evolution in norms and laws, societies in movement and disparities. It also requires knowledge and the mastering of technologies and methods, from mapping to network analysis, from statistical analysis to GIS. Training in the ﬁeld In tandem with the course, students must work on team projects with a commissioning organization for several months in their ﬁrst year, prepare and analyze study trips, analyze speciﬁc case studies with professionals and do a long internship. The courses are demanding intellectually and in terms of professionalization, and require students to be fully invested at all times. A consistent and committed faculty Urban School of Sciences Po is run by nationally and internationally renowned academic lecturers and researchers: they work together in the Sciences Po research programme entitled “Cities are back in town”, in tandem with other international universities. In parallel, the administrative and scientiﬁc staff has developed close links and partnerships with the job market in cities and regions.
