Le Grand Syllabus 2016/2017
Courses are taught in English, although students have the option to take some courses in French. The programme also provides several hours per week of French classes for foreign students, with the goal that all students will be bilingual by the end of the second year. German, Italian, Arabic and Spanish are taught as third languages. In September 2015, the Europe-Africa program has moved to the Reims Campus after three years on the Paris Campus. It currently hosts 200 students and now benefits from the new infrastructure on the Reims Campus to intensify its development. The Europe-Africa programme has a triple ambition : to reinforce the links between youth in Europe and Africa; to encourage a better understanding of the political, economic, social and cultural dynamics of a continent undergoing radical transformation; to contribute to the emergence of a talented elite class of future African leaders. Numerous experts of the geographic area teach as part of this unique educational programme. Students come from a variety of world origins that include more than 35 nationalities. This programme offers a bilingual curriculum in French and English. Students are also required to complete coursework in a language commonly used on the African continent, choosing from Arabic, Portuguese or Swahili. On the site of the former Collège des Jésuites, an extraordinary architectural site in the heart of the city made available to Sciences Po by the City of Reims, the Reims Campus offers students a unique international academic experience, including high intellectual content of courses, group work and interactive exchanges. Great emphasis is placed on sports, creative activities and student organizations.
