Prerequisite : None Pedagogical Format : Seminar Course validation : - Dissertation / written essay (5-7 pp.) Addressing one aspect of the subjects discussed in the sessions, freely chosen by students. - A 4-5 page essay, written at home, on a theme proposed by the student and approved by the lecturer, drawing on the material explored during the sessions (50%). Pedagogical Method : This course is taught by two ambassadors, who will address the same topic but from different perspectives. Course Description : Examine the roots of the UK's decision to leave the EU ; PM Cameron's renegotiation, the referendum campaign and its aftermath ; the prospects for UK-EU negotiations under Article 50 ; the effect of Brexit on the EU27 and further European construction ; prospects for the United Kingdom, internally and internationally. Discussion on the consequences of the Brexit referendum for the EU27 ; Analysis of exit arrangements and institutional procedures ; Impact on the external trade regime of the EU and the UK ; Discussion of possible patterns for future relations between the EU and the UK after the exit ; Reﬂection on the need for a transitional regime and its terms and conditions. Pedagogical Format : Seminar Course validation : Students will prepare each class individually with a series of pre-readings, and in teams from Class n°3, working on a deﬁned case study applied to the topic of each class. They will be evaluated on 3 elements : 25% : class participation and individual contributions (participation in class, knowledge management presentations, individual vase presentation) ; 25% : a written assignment that will be given class 7 or 8 ; 50% : team work presentation (5 students/group) on an operational case, designed to make participant think about the strategic approach to international development – each team will have to present their work during class 11 & 12. Workload : Readings ; group project work. Pedagogical Method : Courses will be split into different sessions : theoretical with presentation of a few critical concepts ; practical examples to illustrate concepts and launch discussions ; students researches shared with other, and a few experts may be mobilized to illustrate better some of the current situations faced by international organizations. Course Description : In a highly changeable operational environment, and in the context of “mega-trends” that are raising levels of expectation, organizations operating in an international context are required to professionalize structured stakeholder relations, whoever their stakeholders are, and to integrate them into their business practices.
