Le Grand Syllabus 2017/2018
The program of study combines interdisciplinary core courses in social sciences—Economics, History, Law, Political Science and Sociology—specialized courses focusing on the particular region of study—Introduction to Arab and Islamic Civilization; History of the Modern Middle East; States, Societies and Regional System in the Arab World; Arab Political Thought; etc.—taught in three languages—French, English and Arabic—together with language classes—English, Arabic, Persian, Turkish and French, with beginner-level classes available in Arabic, Turkish, Persian and French. The Menton Campus hosts international students from Europe, the Maghreb, the Middle East, North America and Asia. It offers two undergraduate curricula, one in French and one entirely in English, supported by the expertise of Sciences Po professors and researchers specializing in the Middle East-Mediterranean region, prestigious lecturers and visiting professors. The programme is supplemented by extracurricular group projects—study trips, TEDx conferences, Model United Nations, etc. Located on the Mediterranean coast, the Menton Campus enjoys ideal conditions and extraordinary surroundings for hosting international students, as well the ability to provide personalized support and attention due to its small student body.
