Common Core Curriculum
Master in European Affairs Core Courses* (2 mandatory)
*You must register for each of the 2 mandatory Core Courses. For the law course, you must choose the option that best suits you. In order to obtain your diploma, you must validate (grade at or above 10/20) at least 4 of the 6 mandatory Core Courses (3 during Semester 1, 2 during Semester 2, 1 during Semester 3) and you must not be in default for any of them. In case of default to the ﬁnal exam, you must take a make-up exam. In case of non-validation (grade below 10/20), you will have the possibility of registering for a make-up exam.

*You must register for 2 Elective Courses. Each validated Elective Course (grade at or above 10/20) gives you 4 ECTS credits. All of the Elective Courses of the School of Public Affairs are open to you. You may choose courses taught in French or English. A C1 level in the language of instruction is recommended.

Living Languages * (1 mandatory)
* Registration for a language course is mandatory, whichever the language. In order to obtain your Sciences Po diploma you must validate an English level that is at least equivalent to C1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This level is validated at the end of your studies (see conditions on the languages page ->http://formation.sciences-po.fr/contenu/ langues-etrangeres). If you have not yet achieved level C1 in English, registering for an in-person or e-learning English language course is highly recommended. Living Language 1 (English or other)
Optional Courses * (choose up to 2) 24 4
* In addition to your mandatory Policy Stream Courses, you may register for up to 2 Optional Courses: - only one Optional Course to be chosen among the Policy Lab offering or a Complementary Course for French civil service exam preparation. - a second Living Language Course. Policy Lab’s optional seminars speciﬁcally address initiatives such as the Incubator of Public Policy and Civic Tech. They are incorporated in the ”public innovator track” and offer seminars combining design-thinking, digital and social science. They help students to incubate their future innovative project. For your information, the following courses are offered during Semesters 1, 2 and 3: Culture générale and Questions internationales. We also remind you that any registration to an optional course implies commitment for the entire semester.
