Program objectives What distinguishes the Sciences Po Marketing and Market Research Master program is the great importance attached to social sciences and digital culture as well as its large offer of classes on luxury industries. It is designed to train marketing executives with strong analytical and creative skills for a constantly changing professional environment. When entering the job market students are immediately operational and also have a solid foundation allowing them to innovate and progress throughout their careers. Main orientations and speciﬁc features The program offers a progressive approach to the ﬁeld: • Acquisition of underlying socio-economic and fundamental marketing concepts concepts, through core courses in the social sciences; speciﬁc skills in marketing and market research with a particular emphasis on innovative practices in digital marketing. • Overview of current and emerging marketing practices. Academic teachings are reinforced with real-world applications through numerous case studies and simulations. • Different workshops (statistics, code, dataviz, etc.) provide students with precious practical skills. • Company visits and discovery seminars give them a solid initiation to the various aspects of the profession. • The possibility of taking a gap year allows students to gain work experience and to develop a personal professional project. • The second year is devoted to developing professional skills and to more in-depth courses, preparing students for successful entry into the labour market. A wide range of specialized courses are available in the third semester (luxury industry, digital marketing, services marketing, the art market, etc.). • In their second year students can choose between a work-study program (apprenticeship) with one day of courses at Sciences Po and the rest of the week spent in the workplace or an academic semester and a six-months internship preparing them for the work market. The Master in Marketing and Market Research prepares students for careers in strategic and operational marketing, for digital marketing, entrepreneurship, for positions in consulting, market research, and the luxury goods industry, as well as careers in organizational, cultural, social and public sector marketing.
