Case studies and workshops of the third semester are all taught by leading practitioners. • The Master also provides solid methodological training in advanced quantitative and qualitative analysis, network analysis, mapping, open data, cartography and GIS training. • In the second semester, students focus on a particular region, gaining historical insight on urban change. Students choose from among the following: African Cities, Latin American Cities, North American Cities, Asian Cities, China, or Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Cities. • In the ﬁnal semester, students either undertake an internship of six months in a large metropolis or study at a partner university, where they prepare a ﬁnal paper or research thesis (for those envisaging a PhD).
