the learning experience. From late October to late June, students work in groups of six or eight under the supervision of a supervisor specialist in the field and under quasi-professional conditions on a technical project contracted with a public institution or private organization. All work is oriented towards completion of team projects. Numerous site visits complete the program, as well as two field trips allowing students to study the development challenges of a real metropolitan area, first in France at the beginning of the year and then foreign locations in the spring semester. This program is a component of Sciences Po Urban School and therefore has access to all the tools and facilities necessary for carrying out group projects. The program primarily trains graduates for careers in urban planning, real estate development, public housing management, local and regional urban authorities, research departments and consulting firms. Students are actively prepared for professional life and benefit from a network of 1,700 alumni plus a faculty that is mostly comprised of recognized professionals. The Master is accredited by the Office professionnelle des qualifications en urbanisme and by the APEREAU, an organization of all the principal urban planning institutions in France.
