Butformorethan50years Saft batteries have been enabling space exploration. Batteries for rovers,landers,spaceprobes,tools tonamebutafew.Batteriesthathave enabledoursciencefictionvisionofa SpaceAgetobecomereality. Philae bounced across the surface. it landed in an area which meantitssolarpanelswouldnotget the sunlight needed. But the Saft primarybatteryonthePhilaelander worked. it did not need sunlight.
