Delivered new in 1971 to the BMW concessionnaire at Levallois-Perret, this car has been maintained by Edmond Ciclet, one of the most renowned Lamborghini experts, as the accompanying file attests. When the car changed hands in 1991, she was still completely original and had covered 70 505 km (43 800 miles). Five years after buying it, the second and current owner, then young and freshly married, decided to have the car completely restored and entrusted the work to Charles Pozzi, the Ferrari concessionnaire. The vehicle was entirely dismantled, stripped to bare metal and repainted. Instead of the original Verde metallizzati paint, a blue colour, with the Lamborghini factory code 2.463.643, was chosen. The handsome Campagnolo «Elektron» wheels were repainted and shod with Michelin MXV tyres. The olive green leather upholstery was retained but was redyed a fawn colour. Only the carpets were replaced, the new ones being sourced directly from the original supplier, Paratelli. All this work has been recorded in a photo file, showing every phase of progress. In all, a sum of more than 50 000 € was invested in this car, without counting normal servicing costs – a considerable fortune in the money of the time. Many ancillary mechanical parts have been replaced : shock absorbers, fuel pump, fuel delivery hoses to the Weber carburettors, air conditioning hoses, water pump, dual system of servo assistance to the brakes, brake master-cylinder and Girling calipers. The two petrol tanks have been replaced, a modern electronic ignition contact breaker has been fitted invisibly inside the distributor and a custom-made stainless steel exhaust system has been mounted. The engine, thoroughly tested and properly tuned, runs faultlessly, no mean feat with 6 twin choke Webers.
