First registered on January 10th 1990, this Ferrari Testarossa was supplied by Motor spa at Bologna. With «Rosso Corsa» paintwork, black upholstery and handsome red carpets, she is further embellished by Scuderia enamelled shields set into the front wings. The regular maintainance received by this car is attested by the sheaf of invoices and the mainteance record which are provided. Notably, the clutch was replaced in 2009 and since then this Testarossa has covered hardly more than 10 000 kilometres (6200 miles). Still more recently, in 2013, new tyres were fitted. However, for peace of mind, the future buyer should plan to have the timing belts replaced. The car’s appearance is very good, with both bodywork and interior in good condition, and it is indeed remarkably well preserved for a 26 year-old vehicle. The paintwork has a good shine and the inside is just nicely patinated. With less than 70 500 kilometres (43 800 miles) covered, this car will be sold with the maintenance record, owner’s handbook, set of tools, car cover and spare set of keys. It is unusual to find a car with all these items present and this shows the care lavished on it by its previous owners. Following on from the 512 BB, the Testarossa was an even more highly-developed rendering of the line of mid-engined berlinettas started by Ferrari with the 365 GT4 BB. Beneath the bodywork designed by Pininfarina, this model continued with the flat 12-cylinder engine mounted above the gearbox, as already seen in previous versions. A number of improvements, such as the cylinder heads with 4 valves per cylinder, increased the power to 390 bhp. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km in 5.3 secs and with a top speed of 290 kph, the Testarossa boasted a level of performance only matched by a tiny handful of exotic supercars. The model’s exceptional qualities ensured that demand for it was high and more than 7 000 were sold. This being one of the most impressive belinettas ever produced by Maranello, a Testarossa in such outstanding condition and with such a reasonable estimated price represents an opportunity not to be missed.
