First presented in October 2000 at the Paris Mondial de l’Automobile show, the Porsche Carrera GT enabled the Stuttgart firm to remain a frontrunner in the tiny group of manufacturers of the fastest and most exclusive cars in the world. The new mid-engined machine (as opposed to the rear-engined 911s) had a 5.7 litre V10 putting out more than 600 bhp and giving a top speed of over 330 kph (205 mph), which hardly any others could match. Delivered new in France, the rare Carrera GT that we are offering has faultless grey metallic paint and an immaculate black leather interior. It has a manual gearbox and was ordered with several options : manually controlled air conditioning (code 572), hifi audio system (code 681), Backer Online Pro CD player / radio (code 690), dark grey matching fitted luggage (code 579). There is an original made-to-measure car cover which cost more than 3 000 €. The up-to-date and complete service records, as well as all the invoices since initial delivery, show that the car has been treated with the most meticulous care. The most recent work includes the replacement in June 2015 of the clutch, a very expensive job on this model, costing 15 800 €, when the car had covered 19 550 km (12 150 miles). A year later, in July 2016, the car was given a major service, costing 12 140 €, by the Porsche Centre in Vélizy. This service included changing all the filters, the belts, the front and rear brake pads and the battery, as well as checking over the clutch. The car had by this time covered 20 436 km (12 700 miles) and she has only been driven a further 600 km since then, as the counter now reads less than 21 000 km. Delivered with three sets of keys, this car has a completely known history and has always been very well maintained, as is shown by the invoices amounting to over 50 000 € just for routine servicing. This car is certainly one of the most beautiful Carrera GTs and the least expensive on the market ! This is therefore an incredible opportunity to acquire one of the best hypercars of her era, only the Ferrari Enzo being in the same category.
